Sorry it's late. The camera was being held captive. Since I can now raise my arm about my head and can finish my finals I was more focused on those this week. I didn't get beyond these little drawings of robots, which were just to figure out what robot I wanted to use in a final piece.

I did this with watercolor and white gouache on some cardboard!
not sure if it's completely finished just yet but I'm happy with if for now!

Well i was thinking for a while and came up with redoing a movie poster whats better than old cheesy horror. shamefully its not done wanna do the last part very well pretty much 50% there and need my damsel in distress of course. Well critique away i'll add suggestions to the final product.

Alrighty here, gang! Sorry this is a bit late...

I wasn't happy with how the painting I was doing for this assignment was turning out... and I'm really eager to just work on some personal pieces sooo... I've decided this week to not stress and just turn in some sketches. We have the anti-poodle skirt girl in a bulldog skirt annnnddd a housewife who decided hell, why do the dishes when I can drink some bubbly with my dog? Enjoy.

Can I just say... I LOVE PIN-UP GIRLS!!!

I think this is the best thing I've done this summer. I really really enjoyed doing it. This figure is actually of one of my close girl friends Jillian Wernette. She's absolutely beautiful and doing this of her makes me want to do more. I've got two other really close girlfriends and myself... I think I'm going to do a series of us four. OH! I loved this!

I had to do all of this today because I had a commission to finish this week. This took me about 6 hours... BUT IT'S DONE!

oh hey guys,

since i got kicked off of the couch and can't watch the glee finale tonight, imma post this week's topic:

basically, i was thinking along the lines of incorporating or reinventing things from the that wonderfully conformist decade.

you know, the age of the pin-up girls, muscle cars, deliriously happy looking nuclear families, and retro horror posters! mmm i'm already salivating from thinking of all the beautifully illustrated gender role advertisements :D

Ok, so, I didn't really get a full-on finished piece, but I have three sketch sorts of things. I did the same as Bethany, making a list of things to figure out what I wanted to do.





A baby, because they're terrifying, and then a demon worm thing and a dinosaur, both of which have been made obviously adorable by wearing bows and dresses.

SO! Cute but Dangerous--> I drew this piece listening to a Pandora playlist based on my like of 3OH!3's "Starstrukk feat. Katy Perry". Good jams. Also, I've been playing Okami and that may or may not have influenced this piece. I ended up making a list of cute things and a list of dangerous things and putting them together for some fun results. Some examples: Baby-Knife, Puppy-Shark, Turtle-Gun... but the best one was KITTEN-FIRE! and so, inspired by the japanese bobtail and the biggest gift to man, I bring you...

i wasn't happy with the style of my last post, so i decided to try something different, go easier on the shading. And lar dee dar, i likes it much better this time around :D
