I cannot tell you how many disturbing pictures I saw while looking for reference for this theme. Especially since my first thought was skin disease.

Can I just tell you...

I LOVED DOING THIS PIECE!!!

At first I was just going to do some art nouveau inspired 60's poster design with some beautiful red woman but then I was looking at some arts on the interwebs and came across this beautiful piece of a face surrounded by a cloak of fabric that had these fictional animals all interwoven in it. I thought it was really beautiful and just doodled something like it in my sketchbook.

Later, I was all "oh... The turban kinda reminds me of a rose" and then I was all "THIS WILL WORK FOR LADY IN RED!!!"

I have to say, after seeing Millie's piece I really wanted to turn out something cool and I'm quite proud of this.
